Terms of use
These terms explain how you may use the Hourpip mobile app and its account services, operated by Les Entreprises Aukazi Inc. (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Hourpip, you agree to these terms. Read the Privacy policy to understand how your information is handled. If you do not agree to the terms, do not use the service.
1. What Hourpip does
Hourpip is a free tool for recording, planning and reviewing work hours. It is independent of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), schools and employers. It does not provide legal or immigration advice, determine whether you may work, or guarantee that your work complies with your permit or the law. No payment is required for the features currently offered.
2. Check your own work eligibility
Your eligibility depends on your permit, studies and circumstances. A weekly total, a suggested shift or a school calendar in Hourpip is not authorization to work. Rules and school dates can change, and information may be incomplete or delayed. Check current IRCC guidance, your permit conditions and your school’s official calendar. Ask a qualified adviser when you need advice about your situation.
3. Your records and exports
You are responsible for entering accurate jobs, hours, breaks, study dates and time zones, and for checking timers and totals. Keep pay stubs, schedules and other original evidence separately. Hourpip reports are based on your entries and are not government or employer certifications. You retain your rights to the information you enter and authorize Hourpip to store and process it to provide the service. Export records you need to keep, especially before deleting your account.
4. Your account
Use an email address or Apple or Google account that you control. Protect access to that account and your device, do not share sign-in codes, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be able to agree to these terms under the law that applies to you; obtain help from a parent or guardian if needed. Do not create an account for someone else without authority.
5. Acceptable use
Use Hourpip lawfully. Do not access another person’s records, bypass security controls, disrupt the service, introduce harmful code or submit information you have no right to share. Hourpip gives you permission to use the app for its intended purpose; this does not transfer ownership of its software, design or branding to you. Rights granted by applicable law and open-source licences remain in effect.
6. Other services
Apple, Google and websites or services opened from Hourpip have their own terms and privacy policies. Any job offer, application, hiring decision or employment agreement belongs to the relevant employer or service. Hourpip does not guarantee that a shift is available, suitable or legally permitted for you. Review the destination before sharing information.
7. Availability and responsibility
Hourpip may have errors, interruptions, delayed synchronization or missed reminders. Do not rely on a notification as your only way to track a deadline or limit. We do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular immigration, study or employment outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes a legal guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
8. Ending use and deleting your account
You may stop using Hourpip at any time. Uninstalling the app does not delete your server account. Delete your account in the app, in Settings → Your data → Delete account. If you no longer have the app, request deletion at api.hourpip.com/delete-account or by writing to [email protected]; write to us as well if you cannot access your account. Deletion requires identity verification, ends access and cannot be undone after confirmation. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks or legal obligations. Contact us to ask about a restriction.
9. Changes and applicable rights
The version date identifies these terms. Changes to the service or terms will be described in an updated version; where notice or agreement is required by law, we must provide it before applying the change. Mandatory laws that protect you continue to apply. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your right to contact a regulator or seek a remedy in a court with jurisdiction.
